International Industrial Week (IIW) Indonesia 2026

A delegation from Persatuan Pemborong Barangan Logam Malaysia (PPBLM) was invited to Jakarta, Indonesia on 3 June 2026 to participate in International Industrial Week (IIW) Indonesia 2026, a major international industrial exhibition held in Indonesia. The visit aimed to gain deeper insights into the Indonesian market development trends, strengthen industry relations between Malaysia and Indonesia, and create more cross-border business opportunities for both the association and its members.

The delegation was led by PPBLM President, Mr. Henry Tan, together with several committee members, including:

• Datuk Kenny Tan (Committee Member)

• Mr. Lau Swee Hock (Member)

The exhibition was held at JIExpo Kemayoran International Exhibition Center, Jakarta, and is recognized as one of Southeast Asia’s major industrial exhibitions. The event brought together manufacturers, machinery suppliers, logistics and warehousing solution providers, metal processing companies, electrical suppliers, and industrial automation businesses from various countries, showcasing the latest industrial technologies and future industry developments.

During the exhibition, the PPBLM delegation was invited by the organizer, PT Meorient Exhibition International, to attend the IIW Indonesia 2026 Opening Ceremony. The delegation also held an official discussion session with the organizer’s management team, where both parties exchanged views on future participation of Malaysian companies in international industrial exhibitions, regional economic and cultural understanding, business trends, and opportunities to strengthen regional collaboration.

Megabuild Indonesia (23rd edition)

On 4 June 2026, the PPBLM delegation was invited by the Indonesia Building Materials Entrepreneurs Association to attend another large-scale international building and construction exhibition — The 23rd Edition Megabuild Indonesia. This visit provided the delegation with valuable exposure to Indonesia’s building materials market, retail industry trends, and related sectors, while also allowing interaction with local businesses.

Later that afternoon, the delegation was also invited for a corporate visit by Mr. Nicho Lieke, President Commissioner of a publicly listed Indonesian company, to gain a better understanding of Indonesia’s business environment, economic development, and local market culture.

Jakarta Hardware Market Visit & Member Company Visit in Indonesia

On 5 June 2026, the delegation took the opportunity to conduct a site visit to a major hardware retail market in Jakarta, allowing members to better understand local market operations and gain valuable market insights.

The delegation also visited Pentens (Indonesia), the overseas manufacturing facility owned by PPBLM committee member Datuk Kenny Tan's company, where the delegation exchanged ideas and shared experiences regarding regional market development and business operations.

For PPBLM, this overseas visit provided the delegation with direct exposure to international industrial market developments while further strengthening the association’s connections with regional industries and creating more possibilities for future cross-border cooperation.
